Peatland _ Chair is made of a single OAK WOOD log recovered in a small Alpine peat (dating back to the the fifth century before Christ), preserved in EXTRACLEAR RESIN resembling the peat water that has conserved them for millennia. The legs are in BURNISHED STEEL. The natural wood surface is not covered by resin on the section planes since alcarol always use a selective wood coating with a matt natural effect. alcarol recovered some rare and unusual black trunks of Oak trees lain in a small Alpine peat, a natural ambient that protects the wood from normal decay over the millennia, increasing its hardness and gradually giving it a distinct dark brown to almost black color. alcarol selects the most suitable trunks and cut the pieces preserving the natural eroded outer surface.
